Login to Clever. Click on Nearpod.
You will then need to put in the Nearpod code for your class. The code is located on your teacher's blog, Teams group, or it was emailed/messaged out to you. If you have trouble finding the code, reach out to your teacher.
You will be working through all the slides for the lesson. Complete the activities that go along with it.
Tuesday: READING - Click on the Times For Kids Magazine link and read the FUTURE FOODS section.
- After you have read this section, click on the link below and take the Future Foods quiz. Please answer the questions in a Microsoft Office Word document and send it to your teacher through Office365.
SOCIAL STUDIES Login to Clever. Find the Studies Weekly icon and open it. Then, click on Grade 5, Industrialization to Digital Age.
Open Week 3: Economic Sectors. Read the issue and answer the questions on My Personal Budget and Think and Review. Turn them into your teacher through Office365.

Once you are done watching the video you will find 5 physical changes and 5 chemical changes in your house. Afterwards, pick 1 physical change and 1 chemical change and write why it is a physical and chemical change.
Make sure you are writing everything down! Share this with your teacher through Word in Office 365.
Thursday: READING/WRITING Hi students, We need to seize the day and take advantage of this beautiful weather outside. Try to get 60 minutes of Physical Activity every day!

Dribble a soccer ball around the yard-
Walk your dog-
Throw and catch a ball with a family member-
Jump rope- (Did you know that if you jump rope for 10 minutes straight, it is equal to running one mile!!??!!) Don’t have a jump rope?? Just pretend you do!!
Take a walk with a family member…(remember to get permission if going alone, or walk with an adult.)
Run in place for five minutes, then drop and complete 15 push-ups, 15 jump-n-jacks, and 15 sit-ups…..then cool down and stretch for an additional five minutes.-
Ride your bike for 15 minutes-

Now that you have completed the above activities, please write one paragraph about what you did and how it made you feel.
Please also complete a chart of what activity or activities you chose to do. You can create any chart of your choice.
You can submit the chart and paragraph via Office 365, or using paper & pencil…take a picture of it and e-mail it to your teacher!!
Here are the requirements:
Write 5-7 sentences in paragraph form-
Indent
Use details describing how you felt while completing the activities. (For example, One funny thing that happened to me when I__________________was____________________.)
Use a hook, introduction sentence and a conclusion sentence-
Use at least one element of figurative language. (For example; The lunges were as hard as a one hundred pound rock.)
Use proper punctuation, spelling and capitalization.
Re-read what you have written prior to you submitting it. Remember: Revising, editing, and re-reading it are tools that all young authors use!!
(Parents: All videos have been pre-screened, however, the internet is always changing, please feel free to be close by when your child is accessing the internet to help keep our kids safe! Also…we want your child safe while outside, please have your child ask for permission to go outside so you always know where your child is!! Keeping our kids protected is priority!!!!)
