This week we are continuing to work on Physical and Chemical Changes.
Login to Clever. Click on Nearpod.
You will then need to put in the Nearpod code for your class. The code is located on your teacher's blog, Teams group, or it was emailed/messaged out to you. If you have trouble finding the code, reach out to your teacher.
You will be working through all the slides for the lesson. Complete the activities that go along with it.
Tuesday April 21st Reading:
Please click HERE to read an article about marathon runners who run a whole marathon while quarantined!
If the link doesn't work, go to newsela.com and search for the story "Lapping the living room: Lockdown marathoners get creative".
After you read the article, click on "activities" and take the 4 questions quiz. Please answer the questions in a Microsoft Office Word Document and sent it to your teacher through Office 365.
After you finish the quiz, think of something YOU can do for exercise while we are all quarantined and then do it. If your teacher has a flipgrid account, go to flipgrid and share your exercise with your teacher and your class! If your class does not have a flipgrid account, write down the exercise you did and how it went. Then share it with your teacher through Office 365.

Social Studies: Click the link below to watch a video on the roles of the bank. After watching the video, answer the TRUE or FALSE questions below. If the answer is FALSE, rewrite the sentence to make it TRUE. Answer these questions on a Microsoft Word document. Once you are done, please share your answers with your teacher through Office365.
1. The bank is a place to deposit and withdraw money.
2. Interest is a fee charged to people saving money in a savings account.
3. Tellers are allowed to keep the money given to them by the customers.
4. Savings accounts are accounts that allow you to earn interest while you save your money.
5. Loan officers’ jobs are to take money from customers and place it in the vault.
6. Financial intermediation is when savers give their money to the bank, and the bank provides those funds to spenders.
7. A vault is a location where all the money in the bank is stored.
8. A checking account is what people use when they have money they do not need to use or have access to every day.

Thursday April 23rd Reading:
Click HERE to listen to a teacher read a-loud a poem book. While you are listening, listen for the THEME. A theme is a life lesson or moral of the story. The theme usually has something to do with what the character learns in the story.
Type the theme in a Microsoft Word Document and send it to your teacher through Office 365. Make sure you give evidence from the text about WHY that is the theme. Type "The theme of Life Don't Frighten Me by Maya Angelou is _____________. I know this because in the story _________." You can give more than one reason why you know what the theme is.
Optional- find another book with a similar theme and read it! Let your teacher know the book you found! If you can't find one at your house, you can click HERE to see a HUGE collection of lots of books you can access right from your home.
